Rising Stars and Industry Leaders Recognised


Last night, I had the pleasure of photographing the Women in Construction Awards 2026 at the beautiful Royal Lancaster London. And what an evening it was!


Organised by Design and Build UK, the awards are now in their fifth year, celebrating the remarkable achievements of women working across the construction industry. From rising stars to established industry leaders, the evening was all about recognising talent, hard work and the people making a real difference.


This year's theme was What Is Construction?, highlighting the extraordinary range of people, skills and ideas that make up the industry.


I've photographed a great many corporate events and awards ceremonies over the years, but I can genuinely say that this was one of the best atmospheres I've ever experienced. There was such a wonderful sense of excitement, warmth and enthusiasm throughout the evening. And when it came to celebrating, everyone certainly knew how to have a good time!


For me, these are the events I particularly enjoy photographing. Capturing genuine reactions, laughter, celebrations and all those lovely moments between people.


A huge thank you to everyone involved for making it such a fantastic evening. It was an absolute pleasure to photograph!
