The Prolific Talent Of Guy Barker


Guy Barker is one of the world's most accomplished jazz trumpeters and composers. Barker was born in Chiswick, London, the son of an actress and a stuntman. He took lessons from Clark Terry and has played with John Dankworth, Gil Evans, Lena Horne, Georgie Fame, Frank Sinatra, Erasure, Wham!, Sting, Bucks Fizz, Mike Oldfield, Cleo Laine... the list goes on. He even makes an appearance in one of my favourite films The Talented Mr Ripley, in the jazz club with Matt Damon and Jude Law.


He's warm, outrageously talented and full of wonderful stories. What a pleasure it was to photograph him.
