The Prolific Composer Of Hits For Petula Clark, Film And Television
Renowned composer Tony Hatch OBE recently welcomed me into his London abode, nestled near Marble Arch. While he and his wife, Maggie, predominantly reside in their Menorca retreat, this flat serves as a convenient hub for meetings and events.
Tony's illustrious career boasts an impressive array of accomplishments. As a composer for both musical theatre and television, his repertoire includes iconic TV themes such as Crossroads, The Champions, and Neighbours. Collaborating with luminaries like David Bowie, Chubby Checker, and Petula Clark, he's left an indelible mark on the music industry.

During our photoshoot, Tony showed me the album cover of Neighbours, the theme tune he composed for the beloved Australian TV series. Recounting the time when the show's entire cast, including a youthful Kylie Minogue, descended upon London for a promotional event and recording session, Tony's passion for his craft shone through.
My background is in portraiture and street photography. I love trying to capture a person’s essence in a photograph. I am a curious person by nature and always want to know the real story, what a person is really like behind their public facade.

This At Home series gives me access to the homes of people I admire and respect. I am deeply grateful for their trust in letting me into their private spaces to photograph them and capture a real insight into what makes them tick.
Unlike shooting weddings, which can be quite hectic, these photo shoots usually give me time to get to know my subject and experiment with different locations and ideas.
